There is; however, a lot more to it than just the beach and one such example is Aqua Natura, which is a large water park that just promises to make sure you have a fantastic time. So the big question has to be what do they have that is just so entertaining for all the family?

First of all what you should know is that Aqua Natura is split into five different sections so it is well laid out and it has to be since it covers over 40,000 hectares. The sections include the chutes, the pool, a pool especially for children, the lighthouse breakwater, and finally the spa and sun deck. The park is laid out in such a style that parents are able to keep an eye on their kids having fun whilst they can sit and relax in the sunshine.

When it comes to slides, and if you love adrenaline, then one you really must check out is called La Cresta and this is proclaimed as the only water chute in the world that lets you experience zero gravity. The chute takes the form of a roller coaster and you sit on a float either yourself or with a friend and you eventually end up at a height of 20 metres. This is only half of the story as from that you drop eight metres and due to how it is built and designed you experience something similar to zero gravity. Do not try this if you have just had lunch.

The other water chutes in the park cover various lengths and styles with some being straight whilst others spin you around corners. One of the longest is the Adventure River with this measuring 123 metres, therefore, giving you a real adrenaline rush before you splash into the pool at the bottom.

The wave pool section is pretty self-explanatory, but you will be amazed at the size since it covers 5000 square metres and has its own series of cliffs and waterfalls for you to check out. It comes with its own beach bar so you can relax in the shade of a parasol while your kids have a fantastic time and you at least know you can keep an eye on them at all times.

If your children are younger, then the specific kids area is going to be ideal for them as the water is not as deep, but they still have their own chutes to have fun on and various areas and caves to explore. They will have a fantastic time exploring bridges and nets, but do be aware that they must be over the age of four to get in and the area is patrolled by its very own lifeguards so they are completely safe.

The sun deck and spa is ideal for when you want to relax in a jacuzzi and just watch the world go by. This is also the perfect picnic spot with some trees so you can get a bit of shade when you tire of being in the sun all the time and do not fancy eating in one of the many restaurants on site. This tends to be the spot where you find the adults lounging around whilst their kids burn off all of that excess energy.

Finally, if you want a break from swimming, then consider checking out the sea lions and visit one of their daily displays. You do also have the chance to experience swimming alongside them, but this is extremely popular during the summer so you may have a bit of a wait, but the experience does make it worthwhile.

So if you are indeed on vacation in and around Benidorm, then a trip to Aqua Natura really has to be on the cards even if you do not have any children with you. Adults can easily spend just as many hours as kids as they check out all it has to offer and you will undoubtedly get real value for money and will be glad you decided to spend a day of your vacation just sliding and splashing all over the place.
