The legendary La Tomatina is a Spanish festival which is held on the last Wednesday of August in the usually picturesque town of Buñol. This pretty town rests 30 miles from Valencia, a Mediterranean city with an excellent reputation for its production of sweet and succulent oranges. However, on this day in Buñol it's another fruit which claims all the glory. During the festival the town transforms itself to host what is considered to be the largest tomato fight in the world.
