La Tomatina

The legendary La Tomatina is a Spanish festival which is held on the last Wednesday of August in the usually picturesque town of Buñol. This pretty town rests 30 miles from Valencia, a Mediterranean city with an excellent reputation for its production of sweet and succulent oranges. However, on this day in Buñol it's another fruit which claims all the glory. During the festival the town transforms itself to host what is considered to be the largest tomato fight in the world.

Las Fallas

Las Fallas is a spanish fiesta where different cities around Spain (Valencia and Denia for example), spend all year building giant sculptures just to set on fire!

Spanish Christmas

The Bioparc in Valencia is a unique day out which all the family can enjoy. Bioparc can be found near the City of Arts and Sciences, located at the Parque de Cabecera s. It is not as well publicised as some of the other tourist attractions on offer, but is still well worth a visit.

The Fuentes del Algar

The impressive natural waterfalls can be located around 10km from Altea. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit as not only is the waterfall an incredible sight, it also shows a different, cooler, quieter side of Spain
